It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Gilmer Jr. (East Saint Louis, Illinois), who passed away on December 4, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Charles Payne (William) of Florissant, MO., Therese Gear of Dellwood, MO and Evelyn Hicks (Robert) of Taylorsville, MS; and his sister Ethel Herman of Santa Ana, CA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends.
