With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce McKinney of East Saint Louis, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joyce left this world on April 22, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joyce touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Harold, Larry and Manuel, III. She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Blanchard; her husband Percy L. McKinney; her children, Perchell McKinney and Todd McCloud; and her grandchildren, Kamryn Blanchard, Todd McCloud, Jr., Lance McCloud and Dyson Pearson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM at the Southern Mission Missionary Baptist Church (2801 State St, East St Louis, IL 62205). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
