Mary L. Herren Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary L. Herren of East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on January 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary L. Herren to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle C. Hammond and Blanche Lucille Hammond (Thompson); her husband Larry Herren; and her siblings, Lee, Paul, David Hammond and Jean Hammond.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Patton (Michael) of Peoria, Marc Chapman (Heather) of Franklin, IN and Angie Schurter (Tim) of Lexington, NC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Lax (Sam) of Bellingham, Samantha Parker (Charlie) of Franklin, Peter Femiano of Holly Springs, Alexander Christopher (Damian) of Upper Darby, Paige Schurter of Asheville, Rachel Schurter of Lexington, Nathan Schurter of Madison and Zachary Chapman (Morelia) of Truman, Arkansas; her stepgrandchildren, Erin Davidson (Mike) of Peotone, Tanner, Tyler of Franklin and Justin Dobbs of Lafayette, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Gwendolyn, Maxwell and Annabelle Parker; her stepgreat-grandson Eric Davidson; her sisters-in-law, Ann Hammond of Bloomington and Shirley Hammond; and her close friend Ruth Smith of East Peoria. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright & Salmon Mortuary (2416 North North Street, Peoria, IL 61604). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
