It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Edward Burke of East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Leo Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Leo Edward. Though Leo Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Burke. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Burke (Moriarty) of Peoria; and his siblings, Kathleen Wittry (Steve) of Gainesville, GA, Dennis Burke (Donna) of Marathon, FL, Maureen Stavinoha of Spring, TX, Mike Burke of Mt. Prospect, IL and Donna Paul (Tom) of Peoria. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Lariat (2232 W Glen Ave, Peoria, IL 61614).
