He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Renner and Shirley E. Davidson Renner; and his brothers, William Renner and James "Jim" Renner. He is survived by: his former spouse Gail Rapp; his spouse Lee Hawkins; his daughter Sarah Kolacki (Adam) of Deer Creek; his stepdaughter Heather Maroney (Jack) of Tremont; his grandchildren, Joshua Kolacki, Khloe Nichols, Megan and A. J. Maroney; his sister Ann Williams (Gary) of Stanford; and his sister-in-law Carol Renner of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
