John L Daxenbichler Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2025, at the age of 85, John L Daxenbichler Jr. of East Peoria, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John L., Sr. and Sadie Daxenbichler (Bishop); his wife Joan "Patty" Arnold-Sticklemaier; and his son Richard Daxenbichler. He is survived by: his children, Mary Brown (Rick) of East Peoria, Joseph Stickelmaier (Joan) of Groveland and Daniel Daxenbichler (Lisa) of East Peoria; his grandchildren, Rebecca DeTrempe, Andrea Velpel, Hank Stickelmaier, Danielle Daxenbichler, Luke Stickelmaier and Britni Daxenbichler; and his sister Cheryl Snider (Robert) of Rome, IL.. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wright & Salmon Mortuary (2416 North North Street, Peoria, IL 61604). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1020 S First Ave, Morton, IL 61550). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Final Resting Place Resurrection Cemetery (7519 N Allen Rd, Peoria, IL 61614).
Father Nick Conner will officiate, and graveside services will be held at Resurrection Mausoleum at 1:30 PM. in lieu of flowers preferred memorials in John's memory may be made to Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association (HOIDSA) or Easter Seals of Central Illinois.
