He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stewart and Elsie Stewart (Howard); his son Jeff; and his siblings, Jerry, Ronnie, Janice and Margaret.

He is survived by: his wife Glinda Kay Stewart of East Peoria; his children, Jimmy Stewart (Jennie) of Washington and Lindsey Hoffman (James) of Washington; his grandchildren, Taylor, Madisyn and Cameron; his siblings, Linda Stewart of Harlan, Carl Stewart of Harlan, Jack Stewart (Rita) of Harlan and Tommy Stewart of Cohutta; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Cain of Ga.

Memorials may be made to Peoria VA Clinic.
