It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Eugene Evers of East Peoria, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Robert and Bertie Abbott Evers; his sister Barbara Ann; and his grandson Ryan Michael Crosiar. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jean Betteridge; his children, James D. Evers of Treasure Island, FL and Janette M. Evers Carson of Pekin, IL; and his brother Sidney R. Evers of Grove City, OH.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes or St. Jude in his name.
