It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Sams (East Peoria, Illinois), born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 28, 2019, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Timothy Sams. He is survived by: his husband LaVonna Watts; his children, Martin "Marty" Sams (Rachel) of Indianapolis and Cassandra "Cassi" Sams of St. Louis; his granddaughter Jillian; his brothers, Jay (Shawna), Doug (Mary) and Troy Sams (Stephanie); his brother-in-law Michael Watts (Mary Jane); and his nieces and nephews, Tira, Lacey, Carly, Jayson, Rachel, Jesse, Nick, Emily, Toby, Alyssa, Mindy and Bob. He is also survived by 17 great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
