It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris E. Jones Pruitt of East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Haroldean and Mable Elizabeth Spellious (Jason); her former husband C. W. "Bill" Jones; her daughter Julie Price; and her siblings, Darrell, Robert, Dave, Stanley, Nicholis, Pat Davis, Carol Fountain and Mary Pizzolato.
She is survived by: her husband Carroll Pruitt; her children, Sandy Vogelsang (Chris Parlier) of Peoria Heights, IL and Keith Jones (Ellissa) of Chillicothe, IL; her son-in-law Tom Price of Deer Creek, IL; her stepchildren, Tim Pruitt (Lisa) of Lincoln, IL, Tom Pruitt (Ida) of Eureka, IL and Roxanne Moore (Des) of Fort Collins, CO; her siblings, Genevieve Majernick (John) of Streator and Rick Spellious of Chillicothe; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Houghton (Gene), Marjorie Turpin and Frank Jones. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
Memorials in her name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
