He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Strandlund and Ina E. Strandlund (Hellgren); his wife Evelyn Allen (Witt); his stepdaughter Roberta Edwards; and his siblings, Dorothy Hunt, Betty Lindberg and Robert Strandlund.
He is survived by: his wife Verna F. Edwards (Rhodes); his children, Mikel Strandlund (Lynne), Pamela Crowe (John), Bettendorf and Paula Newell (Martin); his brother Rev. Donald Strandlund (Mary); his grandchildren, Justin Strandlund (Beth), Jenna Strandlund, Ian Newell, Emma (Levi), Dr. John Crowe, Jr. (Kelly) and Kim Fossel (Steve); his great grandchildren, J. T. Crowe, Lizzy Crowe, Lauren Fossel, Jonathan Fossel and Ryan Fossel; his children, Larry Allen (Sharyn) and West (family: Donald Allen, Davenport, Ronald, Bill Allen, James Allen); and also, Kenneth Edwards, Cody Edwards (Rachel), Samantha Edwards and Milan.
