We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2023, at the age of 84, Verna F. Edwards Strandlund of East Moline, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. Logan Rhodes and Fannie C. Rhodes (Claypool); her former husband Robert A. Edwards; her husband Warren T. Strandlund; her daughter Roberta Edwards; and her brother Charles.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth C. Edwards; her grandchildren, Cody Edwards (Rachel), Samantha Edwards and Milan; her great grandchild Gus Edwards; her sister Marjorie Drea of Taylorville, IL; her sister-in-law Loraine Rhodes of Williamsville, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Mikel Strandlund (Lynne), Pamela Crowe (John), Bettendorf, Paula Newell (Martin) and Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church food pantry.
