He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Strandberg and Helen E. Strandberg (Vigor); his former wife Gloria R. Talley; his sister Nancy; and his brother-in-law Ed Zurcher.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Strandberg (Julie) of Galva, IL and Debra Bridger (Dwight) of Winterset, IA; his grandsons, Eric of Des Moines, IA and Alex Bridger of Des Moines, IA; and his siblings, Donald Strandberg (Carol) of Toulon, IL, Richard Strandberg (Alice), Andrew Strandberg (Patty) of Swedona, IL, Sally Charlson (Donald) of Woodhull and Kathy Newberg (Ron) of Sherrard, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society or University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
