He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Clifford and Mildred Beatrice Swanson (Jankelun); his wife Patsy Ruth Murdock; his sister Shirley Braden; and his nephew Terry Braden.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne; his son-in-law David Apple of Moline; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Sara Swanson of Riverside, Iowa; his son Douglas "Hadley" Swanson of Rock Island; and his grandchildren, Travis Swanson (Abbey) of Rock Island, Eric Swanson (Corinne) of Pekin, Justin Swanson (Erin) of Manvel, Taylor Apple (Ariel Ward) of Rock Island and Kaitlin Apple (Justin Cable) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Ted's memory.
