She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Russell and Frankie Mildred Piper (Hannah); her husband James Peter Burns; and her brother Jerome "Jerry" Piper. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon; her son-in-law Jim Simmons of East Moline; her granddaughters, Ashley Klein (Dakota) of Moline and Bailey Bramhall (Nicholas) of Moline; her great grandchildren, Lilyana Klein and Kinsley Bramhall; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Piper of Silvis and Pat DeBacker of Moline.
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Shirley's memory.
