He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Esterlein and Cora Esterlein. He is survived by: his wife Lois Gerlock; his children, Janet Maurer and Daniel Esterlein (Debra); his grandchildren, Kevin Maurer, Elizabeth Boeke, Nikki Jones, Samantha Gutierrez (Christopher), Cora Short (Bryan), Daniel Robert Esterlein, Logan Keith Esterlein and Laney Esterlein; and his great grandchildren, Kylie Boeke, Chandler, Chelsea, Chase Jones, Alejandro, Isabel Gutierrez, Avalynna, Xavier and Landyn Short.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Geneseo.
