With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Alice Faye Abram of East Moline, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Abram; her father Wallace H. McDonald, Sr.; her grandparents, Joe, Maggie Gilbert, Chester and Ercyele McDonald; her siblings, Wallace H. McDonald, Jr., Lorraine Kelly and Antoinette Johnson; her aunt Lena Anderson; her cousin Joyce Perry; her uncle Raymond McDonald; her nephews, Patrick McDonald, Spencer Sims, Wayne Strong and Donald Strong; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Strong-Rounsville, Berta Mae Casey, Thelma Cannon, Thomas Cannon, Henry Strong and Willie Sims.
She is survived by: her mother Lula Mae Gilbert McDonald of Devalls Bluff, AR; her children, Tomika Camille (Steve) of East Moline, IL, Mario Edward of East Moline, IL, Leslie Michelle Abram (Daryl) of East Moline, IL and Evelyn Danielle Abram-Duke (Darin) of Aurora, CO; her grandchildren, Alissa, Ariana, Alique, Mariana and Talia; her great grandchildren, Nacier and Jonah; her pet Maxwell; her sister Evelyn Anderson; her uncle Michael McDonald of Fresno, CA; her cousins, Patti Faye and Ricky Anderson of Little Rock, AR; her siblings-in-law, Katherine Sims and Bill Rounsville; and her close friends, Almeda, Jose Carmichael, Drucilla Johnson, Ruth Westbrook, Rosie Townsell and Deborah Davis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (1501 6th Ave, East Moline, IL 61244). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
