He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Prettyman and Elsie Mae Howe Prettyman. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Clark; and his children, James (Marie), Lynette Dopler (Kip) of East Moline, IL and Richard. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd. (1902 3rd Ave, East Moline, IL 61244). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at 3801 7th St, East Moline, IL 61244.

Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, or Lakeview Baptist Church, Belton, Texas.
