With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaNeva M. Birkel of East Moline, Illinois, born in Arlington, South Dakota, who passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marlier and Milda Marlier (Ross); her husband George Birkel; and her siblings, Donald Marlier (Lucille) and Elaine DeFauw (Albert).
She is survived by: her children, Darcy Loete, Lisa Birkel and Todd Birkel (Lynda); her grandchildren, Eric Diehl, Angela Diehl and Stephanie Loete; her great grandchildren, Alexandria, Ella and Parker; and her brother Larry Marlier (Pam).
Memorials may be made in LaNeva's name to Habitat for Humanity.
