With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Holmes (East Moline, Illinois), born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on May 20, 2019 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Carlson and Leroy Allen; her husband Forrest Wendell Holmes; her sons, Terry L. Holmes and Richard A. Holmes; and her granddaughter Danielle Orton.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Holmes (JoAn); her grandchildren, Christine Fishel (Mike), Denise Key (Jeff), Doug Holmes (Carrie), Nicole Fallon (Art), Marlene Holmes, Eileen Mills (Hank) and Daniel Holmes; and her daughter-in-law Annette Holmes of Bastrop, TX.. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
