She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Merle Boling and Mary Boggs Boling; her daughter Karen; and her siblings, Donald Boling and Loretta Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Balzer; her sons, Kent Balzer (Peggy) of Woodland, TX and Gregory Balzer; and her granddaughter Cynthia McKinney of Wilsonville, OR. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
Doris was a member of Christ the King Church, Moline, Col Davenport Historical Foundation and the Civil War Round Table.
