He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Eileen Johnson (Lundy); and his brother Ronald Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Meador of East Moline, IL; his daughters, Andrea Baum (Steven), Megan Nelson (Jess) of Colona, IL, Emily Huizenga (Jacob) of Colona, IL and Cassie Ptak (Tom) of Geneseo, IL; his grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey, Noah, Alexis, Carter, Eliana, Brylee, Claire and Sophie; his sister Bonnie Whitten of Port Charlotte, FL; his caregiver Marcia Ehrecke; and his pet May. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities or the Henry County Humane Society Geneseo where he adopted May.
