He is survived by: his wife Judith Simpson; his sons, Douglas Milton Peterson (Amy) of Libertyville, IL, Brian Arthur Peterson (Erica) of Galesburg, IL and Scott David Peterson (Elizabeth) of Monrovia, MD; his grandsons, Evan, Dylan, Briggs, Zachary, Douglas, Ryan, Hayes, Miller, William and Cooper; and his sister Carolyn Davis of Knoxville, IL.
Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Galesburg Rescue Mission, the National Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
