He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kay Palmer of East Galesburg, Illinois; his children, Debbie Salter (Brett) of Ottumwa, Linda Bissell (Dave) of Agency, Bobbi Pio (Chris) of Cedar Rapids and Tim Bates (Julie) of Albia; and his grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Abby Selby (Tyler), Ali Salter, Nathan Bissell (Maria), Lauren Pio, Scot Pio, Eric Pio, Jake Bates (Savannah), Jacquelyn Bates and Noah Bates.
