With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elfriede M Woyke of East Dundee, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elfriede left this world on April 15, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franz Buers and Maria Buers; her husband Alexander Woyke; and her siblings, Elizabeth, Heinz, Werner and Franz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beatrix Owings, Sylvia Marquardt (Scott) and Maryanne Woyke; her grandsons, Jerry Owings, Jr. (Jenny Cooper) and Markus Owings (Abby Pratt); her great grandchildren, Dominik, Oskar and Riley; and her brother Horst Buers (Ermie).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home (504 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the River Valley Memorial Gardens (14N580 State Rte 31, Dundee Township, IL 60118).
