He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius J. Ihm and Laura C. Ihm (Vaessen); his siblings, Mary (Alvin), Dorothy and Jim; and his siblings-in-law, Al Polfer and Loralee Ihm.
He is survived by: his children, Gregg Ihm of Menominee, IL, Gary Ihm of Menominee, IL, Cheri Burkholder (Randy) of Dickeyville, WI, Colleen Schmidt (Mike) of Woodbury, MN and Geoff Ihm (MaryAnn) of Thornton, CO; his grandchildren, Brea, Jordan, Mitchel, Ben, Nick, Paul, Joey, Sam, Kiana (Seth) and Piper; his former wife Ruth Ihm (Sherman); his siblings, Jerry Ihm (Carolyn) and LaVonne Polfer; and his brother-in-law LaVern Heitzman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Nativity BVM Church (15390 W Creek Valley Rd, East Dubuque, IL 61025). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
