With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Sheehan of East Dubuque, Illinois, who passed away on March 20, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Sheehan and Elizabeth Sheehan (Cahill); his wife Mary C. Zimmer; his grandchildren, Rob, Todd, Tiffany and Infant Sheehan; his great grandchildren, Joseph Sheehan, Babies Gockel, Baby Sheehan, Baby Sieverding, Baby Stubbe and Babies Kirschbaum; his siblings, Mary Hutchcroft (Vern), Cletus Sheehan (Eugenia), Clifford Sheehan (Marie) and James Sheehan (Delphine); and his parents-in-law, George, Susan Zimmer, Adella Remakel (Mike), Isidore Zimmer (Louise), Vincent Zimmer, Sylvester "Dolly" Zimmer (Clara), Florence Flogel (Carl) and Mary Margaret Zimmer.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel E. Sheehan (Donna) of Menominee, IL, David G. Sheehan of East Dubuque, IL, Debra A. Heitkamp of East Dubuque, IL and Denise M. Sheehan of East Dubuque, IL; his grandchildren, Tom Sheehan (Lynn), Tina Dierks (Scott), Terri Ludwig (Steve), Tony Sheehan (Stacy), Tonia Sieverding (Jamie), Tim Sheehan, Tracy Lange (Adam), Troy Sheehan, Dr. James Sheehan (Carolyn), Kelly Stubbe (Nick), Keri Gockel (Brian), Chelsea Kirschbaum (Spencer) and Elise Sheehan; his grandchildren-in-law, Amy Sheehan (Schadl) and Greg Weiland; and his sister Miriam T. He is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, facemasks, social distancing and capacity rules will be enforced, both at the funeral home and at church.
