She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry C. Kuhl and Vernie E. Kuhl (Martin); her husband Elmer J. Soat; her brother Harry Kuhl, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Henry, Irene Soat, Bertilla Westemeier (Jerry), Gerald "Bud" MacFarlane, Stan Duffy, Merlin Soat (Marlene) and Bernard Soat.
She is survived by: her children, David Soat (Elaine) of Dubuque, IA, Mary "Toni" Burns (Joe) of Dubuque, IA, Chuck Soat (Lisa Federspiel) of Peosta, IA, Mimi Prenger (Ed) of Osage Beach, MO and Nick Soat (Keri) of DeForest, WI; and her siblings, Ruth MacFarlane of Dubuque, IA, Margaret Duffy of Waterloo, IA, John Kuhl (Jackie) of LaCrosse, WI, Victor Soat (Esther) of Menominee, IL and Dorothy Soat of East Dubuque, IL. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.
