It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freida Mae McConnell of East Dubuque, Illinois, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Leroy Huseman (Maureen), Albert Huseman and Judy Barnes; her nephew Terrance O'Toole; and her niece Karen Scremen.

She is survived by: her husband Jim McConnell; her children, Jim Jr. McConnell of Dubuque, Jeanne Noel (Ernie Albertsen) of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary McConnell (Annette) of Evansville, IN and Steven McConnell (Karen) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Sarah, Paul, Jill, Michael, Matthew, Jeffrey, Kate and Nicole; her close friend Illa McDermott; and her caregivers, Jennifer, Peggy and Stephanie. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
