With solemn reverence, we commemorate Frances Ploessl of East Dubuque, Illinois, whose life came to an end on February 5, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick Slaats, and Frances Slaats, Jr. (Horch); her siblings, Shirley Slaats, Diane Mellott (Jack), Carol Larson (Don), Joe and Eddie Slaats (Kathy); and her close friend Glenn Hockman.
She is survived by: her aunt Dolly; her grandchildren, Luke, Tori, Cole and Joey; her children, Lori Pickel (Joe) of Arlington, VA, Donna of Montevallo, AL and Mark (Lisa) of Dubuque, IA; and her siblings, Evie Brady (Ben) and Bob Slaats (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home East Dubuque (1185 IL-35, East Dubuque, IL 61025). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (170 Montgomery Ave, East Dubuque, IL 61025).
