He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Pepper and Alice Pepper (Steinberg); his sister Bernice Baugh; and his siblings-in-law, Hobart, Winfred, Jack, Allie, Bill, Morland Baugh, Detty DeGerlia and Reva Pepper.

He is survived by: his husband Hervel Baugh of East Alton; his daughter Toni Dotson (Jim) of Dow; his grandson Andrew Barron (Nao) of O'Fallon, IL; his great grandchildren, Mia and Ken Barron; his siblings, Merle Pepper of Pearl, Carol Rulon (Hurley) of Carrollton and Alice Clancy (Ray) of Caseyville; and his sister-in-law Anna Ruth Webster. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
