She was predeceased by: her parents, James Samuel and Goldie Mae Avery (Langley); and her siblings, Tony, Audrey and Alice.
She is survived by: her husband Harold E. Brooks of East Alton; her daughters, Melissa Schupbach (Chris) of Alton and Amanda Brooks-Kassak (Mike) of Alton; her sisters, Norma Cummings and Sharon Powell; and her siblings-in-law, Tony Brooks (Mary) of Bunker Hill and Terry Martin (Dennis) of Moline. She is also survived by many nieces nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
