She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Brown and May Brown (Cross); her children, Marion Reed, Robert "Bobby" Reed and James "Jimmy" Reed; her granddaughter Marissa Stainback; and her siblings, Elma Johnson and Elmer Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Huffman (Reed) of East Alton; her grandchildren, Corey Mitchell, Brian Eggers, Cara Foiles, Brooke Reed, Val Reed, Chandra Reed and Desarae Lahti; and her sister-in-law Shirley Brown of Kentucky. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
