He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Friedrich and Hedwig Friedrich (Litz); his wife Joan M. Landolt; his daughter Carol Alcorn; and his siblings, Maria Petry, Betty Streiff, Edward, Francis and Richard Friedrich.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Friedrich (Jennifer) of Highland, IL, Richard Friedrich (Debora) of Severna Park, MD, Alan Friedrich (Donna Varble) of Brighton, IL, Mary Haynes (Frank) of Bethalto and Karen Bourbon of St. Charles, IL; and his sister Lenore Lindsey of Arlington, TX.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto.
