He is survived by: his son Matthew W. Martin (Angela); his grandsons, Evan of Fosterburg and Elliott of Fosterburg; his sister Sheree "Lee" Shields (Richard) of Alton; his nephew Christopher Shields (Kendra); his great-nephew Lincoln Shields; his brother-in-law Richard Luecht of Godfrey; and his close friend Kathy Bivins.
