He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark W. Brueggeman, Sr. and Geraldine Brueggeman (Ford); and his brother Robert Brueggeman. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Edgar; his children, Courtney Brueggeman of Wood River and Jordan Brueggeman of O'Fallon, IL; and his siblings, Cathy Houston of Texas, Cindy Pitt of Florida, Kris Worthy of Rosewood Heights, Mark Brueggeman, Jr. of Wisconsin and Kevin Brueggeman (Kenneth "Ben" Brueggeman) of Wood River.
Clay was a foster dog-parent for several dogs, and so memorial donations may be given to Havaheart Rescue, PO Box 14336 Springfield, MO 65814. Memorials may also be given to the American Cancer Society.
