He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Dillon and Nannie O. Dillon (Scarberry); his wife Ethel P. Strader; and his siblings, Lucille Brooks, Phyllis Mason, Dorothy Covey, Roland Dillon, Arnold Dillon and Robert Dillon.

He is survived by: his children, Rodger Dillon of East Alton and Sandy DeWall (Dave) of East Alton; and his grandchildren, Kara DeWall (Anthony) and Alex DeWall (Hanna).
