It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Bauer of Earlville, Illinois, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Augusta "Boy" Fritsch and Ruth Amelia Fritsch (Otto); her former husband Paul Wilbur Bauer; her sons, Ray Paul Bauer (Deborah Butts) and John Lee Bauer (Chris Donovan); and her siblings, Wiley Martin Fritsch (Eva), Russel R. Fritsch (Carol), Lyle George Fritsch (Eleanor) and Helen Fritsch Johnson (Jesse) of Virginia.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Bruce Alan Bauer (Jane Matison) of Earlville and Michael Dean Bauer (Linda Gilberston) of Earlville; her husband Little League; her grandchildren, Derek, Chad, Bryan, Robert, Christopher, Shane, Lars, Adam Bauer, Edward, Andrew, Noah Van Dorsten, Marc, Jeff Page, Heather Bauer Boston, Indya Bauer, Beth Bauer Grace, Demrhy Youngquist, Lori Van Dorsten, Jennifer Bauer, Angela Butts Schiller and Jill Page; and also Nancy Bidstrup (Tim). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
