He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gast and Rena Gast (Knoll); his wife Patricia Ann Gumm; his siblings, La Verne Gast, Elaine Kellogg, Marilyn Botts and Lois Gast; his grandson Andrew Gast; and his brothers-in-law, Stan Nash, Rod Kellog and Charles Botts.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Steward of Palmetto, FL, Kenneth Gast (Pamela) of Earlville, IL and Joyclyn Jones (Richard) of Earlville, IL; his grandchildren, Luke Jones, Corrine Clausel (Daniel) and Rena Baumbach (Nolan); his great grandchildren, Sadie, Wyatt and Gracelynne; and his sister Phyllis Nash of Naperville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
