He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Busty" and Mary B. Batistini (Bernardi); his son Gary Allen Batistini; and his brother Dennis Batistini. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brayden Batistini, Jeff Riley, Jenny Riley, Thomas Myers and Steven Lenertz; his wife Dorothy Hendrix; his children, Donald Ray Batistini (Pamela) and Kathleen Jo Riley (Bradley); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Riley (Serena), Jennifer Riley (Kyle Brighton), Laura Blatnik (George) and Kathryn Rosene (Zachary); his stepgrandchildren, Shaun DeFore (Julie) and Shannon Nanouski (Andrew); and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Batistini and Helen Michelsen (Dave).
