He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Thompson and Sara Lou Thompson; his son Terry; and his siblings, Bill, Jim, Joe, Danny, Mert and Ruby.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Harte; his children, Frank Thompson, Mark Laws (Amy), Jeff Knoedler, Cheryl McMurren and Victor Thompson; his grandchildren, Marcus, Vincent, Alden, Faith, Kyle and Ciera; his great grandchildren, Navaia and Milo; and his sister Jan Smith (Carrol). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
