He is survived by: his parents, Luther Messer and Martha Messer (Mills); his spouse Dora Mills; his daughter Margaret Ve Zain (Jim) of Earlville; his granddaughter Ashley Cramer (Dave) of Earlville; his son-in-law Dave Billings of Ottawa; his siblings, Arvil Messer (Della Mae) of Hinkle, KY, Jimmy Messer (Christine), Floyd Messer (Faye), Dexter Messer (Sue) of Hinkle, KY, Chester Messer of Cannon, KY and Helen Haines of Cannon, KY; and his goddaughter Heather Finnegan of Oswego.
