It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVerne Nelson of Earlville, Illinois, born in Waterman, Illinois, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Nelson and Lillie Nelson (Sedal); his wife Carol J. Valentinsen; and his sister Rose Cissna. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Lock (Jon) of Lexington, IL and Mark Nelson (Tammy Breese) of Earlville, IL; and his grandchildren, Matthew Lock (Hallie) of Danville, IL, Hunter Lock of Lexington, IL and Mya "Myles" Nelson of Streator, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
