He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie William and Ruth Mathesius (Groth). He is survived by: his wife Becky Mathesius; his daughters, Kim Ohme (Mike) and Jennifer "Jay" Kunkel (Todd); his grandchildren, Drue Mathesius (Alissa), Paige Johnson, Keegan Johnson (Emily), Chase Johnson (Breann), Peyton Johnson, Brooklyn Kunkel and Morgan Kunkel; his great grandchildren, Kash, Tripp, Moxx and Macc; his sister Ruth Ann Tastad; and his pet Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to IHCC Hospice, Allure of Mendota, Horizon House, or the Earlville American Legion.
