He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Zimmerman and Ruth Zimmerman (Lutz); his daughter Therese; and his sister Patricia Appleton. He is survived by: his son Michael Zimmerman of Chicago; and his brother George Ted Zimmerman (Jane) of Earlville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Masses or to St. Theresa Catholic Church.
