She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferd Heiston and Clara Heiston (Knutson); her husband John Peterson; her children, Luann Acuncius and Melvin; her grandsons, Jeffery Beck and Tom Schmidt; and her brothers, Francis, Duwayne and Edward Heiston.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Beck (Larry) of Earlville, IL and Norman Peterson (Joan) of Earlville, IL; her daughter-in-law Linda Peterson of Earlville, IL; her sister Carol "Susie" Beardin of Ashton, IL; and her sister-in-law Fern Heiston of Kentucky. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
