It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Brown of Dwight, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hammerstein and Margaret Hammerstein; her husband Marvin Brown; her son Tom Brown; and her brothers, Charles J. and Tom Hammerstein.

She is survived by: her children, Marvin Brown (Terry), Jim Brown (Chris), Margaret McGrath and Gary Brown (Darla); her grandchildren, Jamie Hughes (Marty), Sara LePore (Joe), Jenna Riccolo (Patrick), Jeff Brown (Annie), John Brown, Gwyn Brown and Scott Brown (Gabby); her great grandchildren, Thomas, Seth, Makayla, Liam Brown, McKenzy Brown, Joey, Michael, Nicholas LePore, Samuel, Sadie Riccolo and Elle Brown; her sisters-in-law, Jackie Hammerstein and Bonnie Davy (late Charles, family: Steve Hammerstein, Megan, Lindsey Hammerstein); and her nieces, Janet Harvey (Phil) and Cathy Davis (Al). She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
