We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2022, at the age of 85, John J. Smith of Dwight, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Miley Smith and Ira Smith (Cary); his brothers-in-law, Earl Rienbolt, Don Wood and Bill Wood; and his parents-in-law, Irvin and Geraldine Wood.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Smith (Wood); his children, Kayla Smith-Malm (Steve), Diana Watters (Mark), Michael Smith (Karen) and Patrick Smith (Shannon); his grandchildren, Ryan Andreasen (Mary Beth), Elizabeth Bowden (Aaron), Michael Andreasen (Kristina), Allison Kelly, Christopher Watters (Kelly), Alyssa Kucera (Kevin), John Smith, Alexandra Smith, Mackenzie Haas, Hayleigh Wert and Madelyn Smith; his great grandchildren, Evan, Abby Andreasen, Clara, Audrey Bowden, Sawyer, Harper and Callan Kucera; and his siblings, Geraldine Rienbolt and Harold Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
