He was predeceased by: his father Frank Meier. He is survived by: his mother Dawn Tober; his significant other Lorrie Schmidt; his sons, Darren Meier (Julianna) and Deeter Meier (Stephanie Adami Mershon); his grandchildren, Aidan, Weston and Keaton Meier; and his stepmother Lois Meier.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is set for a flagpole to be erected in Durand in his honor.
