Esther Dixon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Esther Dixon of Durand, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Einar Nelson and Mabel Nelson; her husband Jon Dixon; her siblings, Russell Nelson, Barb Scott and June Puhl; and her grandson Matthew Pearson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Pearson (Todd), Cheryl Mc Grath, Leslie Lami (Chris) and Constance Gammeter (Bill); her stepchildren, Trina Keller (Mark), Tim Dixon (Kristin) and Tom Dixon; and her caregiver Cindy. She is also survived by her children, stepchildren, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McCorkle Funeral Home - Durand Chapel (101 W Main St, Durand, IL 61024). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
